One of my first smart phones was a Palm Treo. I was in love with that little thing until my cousin called me out at a Christmas party. Thanks a lot Mark Baskin…lol. He was probably upset because we won the annual Spades Tournament that year. But my cousin was right. The Treo was outdated, and the new iPhones was the new crazy. I’ve never been one to follow the crowd, but even I was aware that it was time for an upgrade. A few months later, Samsung released the new Galaxy Note with the wide screen and I was the first in line to get it. Needless to say, my Galaxy Note made my cousin’s handheld look like a flip phone. Cut!! Joker! Joker! Deuce! GAME!!
Well…it’s time for our local leaders to shuffle the deck and deal a new hand of cards as well. The Biden Administration is pushing this New Green Deal and we need to take advantage.
Our communities could use an upgrade that could actually stack the deck in our favor. EV’s and autonomous vehicles are coming. In fact, the governor of Detroit has established a pilot program with Electreon for laying sustainable roads for these vehicles. It’s time for someone to reach out to ole Roy Cooper to do the same in EAST Greensboro.
East Greensboro is in a PERFECT position to capitalize from the new Toyota Battery Plant coming to the city in a few years. I guarantee you that there are dozens of cities envious of this partnership, but we can’t stop here!! Detroit is trying to re-invent itself by incorporating this pilot program, but Electreon belongs in the Gate City!!!
As I stated in a previous blog, https://www.buildingbloxusa.com/post/who-are-we-part-two, Greensboro needs to lay 15 miles of public wireless charging coils that will allow motorist to travel to the Toyota Plant freely. Electreon has the technology to charge your vehicle while driving. Our local officials should also offer an additional tax write-off to any resident that buys a Toyota EV and utilizes Electreon’s technology. This is how you lay the infrastructure to attract the scientists and engineers that we lose to larger cities!!
As companies like Waymo, Uber and Cruise seek to expand their operations of Autonomous Vehicles, what better place than a city that’s incorporated the optimization of its local highways. With roughly 300,000 people, Greensboro is the ideal size for such a program.
It’s no secret that Greensboro is on the verge of becoming the FOURTH largest city in North Carolina within the next 10 years. Durham is gaining ground on us because we’ve been complacent. It’s time for Greensboro to become bullish again like the 1890’s when the Cone Brothers turned us into a textile giant. This is the way moving forward. In fact, if we play our cards right, we may become the technological destination for programmers and engineers around the country. This is what I call at the card table, “Trump Tight!” Joker! Joker! Deuce! GAME!!
Thank you for sharing. This isn't about the promotion of Electreon. This is about promoting the technology that will benefit the residents of Greensboro. Please feel free to share a link of their competitors.
Please stop promoting #Electreon.
Underpowered 20kW receivers will cost $1000s, competitors have 200kW for less!
Electreon infrastructure costs $3M-$4M per mile of road, double than competitors!
Competitors are half the price per mile and ten times more powerful per receiver!
